What is it?

The ELECTRONIC SCIENCE TUTOR ® is a complete Physical Science home tutoring system, which covers the South African Physical Science syllabus for Grades 10-12. It is intended fo learners in these grades, as well as for teachers who will find there a rich source of material for preparing lessons and setting tests.

What does it contain?

The whole system consist of

• An on-line textbook, which is an extended version of the whole of this Web Site. The material covers the whole of the new Outcomes-based syllabus.
• Question banks covering every section of the work In fact, more than 800 questions involving most popular question types: Multiple Choice, Multiple Response, Numerical, Short Answer, Evaluation Analysis, and Matching. Every question has informative feedback, thus enhancing and reinforcing the learning process.

Is it easy to use?

The ELECTRONIC SCIENCE TUTOR ® is easy to use. In fact, if you have managed to get your computer to show this page, then you will have no difficulty in using the software!

Will my system handle it?

The basic requirements are an IBM-PC compatible machine running on Windows 98 or later, and using Internet Explorer or Firefox as the default browser. You should have at least 40 MB free space on your C: drive.

What does it cost?

The system is supplied on a CD (which includes the material for grades 10-12), and costs R360-00 (VAT inclusive) for a single copy to be installed on ONE computer. Compare this with the price for private lessons! Licenses are available for schools and other educational institutions wishing to install the system on several stand-alone PC's or a network (this includes staff members' laptops). This licence costs R1750-00 (VAT inclusive).
